707 Slaps is the online counter for Visual Concepts, a crew of artists and printers on Jacobs Ave in Eureka. We've been making Humboldt's signs, stickers, labels and vehicle graphics since 2007. Every file gets looked at by a person before it hits the printer.
Good questions.
What files work best?
Vector files (PDF, AI, EPS, SVG) print sharpest at any size. Photos and PNG or JPG art work great too. Aim for about 300 pixels per inch at the size you're ordering. The editor shows a live resolution check, so you'll know before you order.
PNGs with transparent backgrounds make the cleanest die cut stickers. Got a logo on white? Hit Remove background in the editor.
How do multiple designs get a better price?
Everything of the same product in your cart is priced together. Stickers, for example, are priced by total square footage across every sticker design in the order, so each new design pushes the whole order toward a lower rate. Same-size banners combine for quantity discounts, and UV raised labels combine by total label count.
Do I get to see a proof?
The editor shows you the cut, size and finish before you order, and you get that preview on your order page. Our crew then checks every file before printing. If something looks off (low resolution, text too close to the cut, a missing font), we'll reach out before anything prints.
How fast will I get it?
UV raised labels have standard, rush and next-day turnaround options on the product page. For everything else, put your deadline in the order notes and we'll confirm it before we print. Local pickup at the shop is always the fastest way to get your order.
Pickup or shipping?
Pickup at our Eureka shop is free. We ship within the US at a flat rate based on the biggest thing in your order. Very large rigid signs and sandwich board frames are pickup only.
How do I pay?
Checkout runs through PayPal. Use your PayPal account or pay with a card through PayPal's checkout. Payments go to Visual Concepts, our shop, so that's the name you'll see on the receipt.
